How to install a Flexorgaz?

Checking to be done

Before installing, please check:

• the interior diameter of the connecting pipe is equal to or greater than the interior diameter of the appliance flue collar
• the presence of the adjustment sleeve
• the flexible connecting pipe is in a good state, when extended

The connection of two appliances to the same combustion product exhaust duct, through one common piece of flexible pipe is forbidden

Note : in case of an apparent deterioration of the connecting pipe, this one must be replaced.

The flexible pipe is sold with its adapted sleve.

• The male part of the sleeve is nested within the appliance flue collar.
• On the wall side, the nested piece of the pipe must be in a folded position on 5 to 7 cm.
• Maximum length of pipe 1,5m
• Not more than 2 bends (90° maximum)
• Respect a rise of 3%
• The pathway shall be done in a continuous way.

Installation

N°1 example – Gaz installation - VMC

To connec to a VMC installation, the flexible pipe is splined directly into the VMC air extract unit

To connect to a chimney installation, it’s needed to add an accessory spigot. It must be fully nested within the pipe.

Legal advice :

Be careful, white flexible pipes with hose connection used for gas cookers are forbidden – change them with gas flexible pipes to be screwed, which is more secure.

For maximum of safety, the gas flexible pipe must be installed with a self-closing integrated tap, since 1st July 1997.
