Shower Plumbing

The bathroom is a part of the house where comfort becomes a necessity, complemented by aesthetics. This is why it's important to have quality installations before considering purchasing cheap plumbing fixtures.
Whether you have a walk-in shower or a standard shower, you will need a good showerhead. It is recommended to install a chrome showerhead with a limescale-resistant function. For a better grip, the diameter of the head should not be too large (around 70 mm). Add a shower hose that is long enough to avoid running short; for example, a length of 1.5 meters should be sufficient. Be sure to choose a shower hose that will fit your showerhead. The same goes for the shower holder! If your head is male 15/21, then choose a hose that is female 15/21. You can purchase a complete shower set that includes the showerhead, hose with showerhead holder, and metal bar to save money and unify your shower elements.

Kitchen or Bathroom Sink

For the sink, there are mixers and faucets.
The mixer faucet involves manually mixing hot and cold water from the hot water cross and the cold water tap head. It's a budget faucet, often used for renovations, which does not allow easy temperature adjustment at the faucet outlet. The design mixer is still an effective decorative faucet because it fills a bathtub much faster than a single lever faucet.
For more comfortable hot water adjustment, prefer the mixer faucet. Hot and cold water mix more evenly, for tasks like washing dishes. By limiting the flow, it is thus more economical and makes usage comfortable.
Each spare part of the plumbing can be replaced, provided you have the reference of the faucet (often indicated on the body of the faucet, for major brands on the market). To save even more, you can add an aerator that allows for up to 60% water savings and reduces noise. As limescale partly deposits on it, it can then be unscrewed and brushed to be descaled. An aerator can also be stylish or create a smooth and aesthetic water flow (pure water stream, design, full of bubbles, rain effect, etc.).

Toilet Equipment

The toilet plumbing first includes the flush mechanism with its float valve. It is thanks to this that you can flush the toilet. It can be a single volume, meaning one flush only, or a dual volume mechanism. A dual button flush allows you to choose between flushing the entire tank or part of it.
A control plate enables the use of this principle of a push button for a wall-mounted toilet. Many toilet plates use a manual triggering principle via pneumatic effect, meaning there is no need for an electrical current to activate the flush at the toilet tank.
An exposed tank isn't necessarily elevated relative to the toilet; some are considered semi-low. For a concealed tank, a push button is required and uses a cord system to trigger the flush.
For the toilet seat, you can opt for a budget-friendly, simple seat, up to a designer or even gadget seat (self-cleaning, connected to a heater for winter, etc.). Generally, it is still recommended to have a toilet seat with stainless steel fittings and an opening angle between 95° and 100°.
